Controller Orb is a seller-management service operated by James Robinson. Contact us at hello@controllerorb.com. This notice covers our website, customer accounts and connected eBay-account features, including copying listings between accounts. We are responsible for customer-account, billing, support and website information. Sellers remain responsible for the buyer information they authorise us to handle for their marketplace operations; we process that information to provide their requested service.
Information we collect
- Account information: details you provide when registering, such as your name, email address and business information.
- Marketplace information: authorised seller-account identifiers, listings, stock, feedback, messages, orders, delivery and tracking information, including buyer names, delivery addresses and contact details where supplied by eBay, and related data needed for the features you use.
- Connection credentials: marketplace access and refresh tokens. These are encrypted and stored server-side; we do not collect your marketplace password.
- Payments: credit-pack purchases, payment status and payment-provider references. Card payments are handled by Stripe; Controller Orb does not store your full card details.
- Content you submit: listing photos, descriptions, message templates and content used with optional AI-assisted features.
- Usage information: credit movements, actions, error records, timestamps and operational logs used to provide and protect the service.
- Technical information: browser, device, IP address and security signals where needed for service operation and fraud prevention.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure your account, connect authorised seller accounts, display and manage marketplace data, process requested actions, maintain credit records, provide support, investigate problems and improve service reliability.
Legal grounds
Depending on the circumstances, we process information to perform our agreement with you, respond to your request, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as service security, or act with your consent where consent is required.
AI-assisted features
When you use AI-assisted listing or reply features, relevant photos, listing details or message content may be sent to our AI service provider to generate the requested result. Avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information. Review generated content before publishing or sending it.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed with the marketplace you connect, hosting and database providers (our application is hosted on Render in Frankfurt), Stripe for payments, email and AI service providers, professional advisers, or authorities where the law requires it. Providers receive only the information needed for their role.
Location and international processing
Our main application hosting is in Frankfurt, Germany. Marketplace, payment, email and AI providers may process information in other countries under their applicable terms and privacy notices. EU hosting does not mean all processing stays in the EU. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your use.
Retention and security
We retain account and connected marketplace information while needed to provide the service. Financial and action records may be retained for accounting, dispute handling and security after an account closes. Cached operational data and backups may remain until replaced or removed through their normal lifecycle. Disconnecting eBay access does not automatically erase previously stored records. Contact us to request deletion or details of the retention applicable to your information. We use access controls, account separation and encryption for sensitive connection data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can disconnect marketplace access and stop using Controller Orb. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal information. Some information may need to be retained where the law permits or requires it.
You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing, and object to direct marketing at any time. Privacy complaints can be sent to hello@controllerorb.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data-protection authority.
Cookies
Controller Orb may use essential cookies or similar storage needed for sign-in, security and service operation. Any non-essential analytics or advertising technologies will be described and offered with appropriate choices before use.
