A practical guide for multi-account eBay sellers

How to copy eBay listings
to your other accounts.

Reuse an advert you have already prepared. Controller Orb lets you select listings on a source account and create new listings on another connected account, with a review before publishing.

Copying a listing and moving stock are different steps

A copy is a new listing on the destination account with a new eBay item number. The source listing stays live. The current workflow chooses one destination per submission; repeat it to copy from the same source to several accounts.

If your aim is to move stock off the source account, verify the successful destination listings first, then separately end the originals. This does not move sales history or the original item number to the new listing.

Before you begin

Choose the accounts and stock.

Connect the source and destination accounts through eBay’s approval process. Use accounts you own or are authorised to manage. Decide which physical stock each listing represents before creating more adverts.

Check the destination’s payment, postage and return policies. Review product details and quantities, and confirm you have enough Controller Orb credits for the selection.

  1. Open Manage / Copy Listings

Choose your source account and find the active listings you want to reuse.

  2. Select the listings and start copying

Choose one connected destination account for this submission.

  3. Review the destination policies

Confirm payment, postage and return policies for the destination, and check the selected listings before submitting.

  4. Check the results before repeating

Review successful copies and any errors. Check new listings on eBay before retrying an uncertain result. Repeat the workflow for another destination.

Example walkthrough · 4 steps

One source. Two destinations.

An illustrated example using three sample products and fictional account names. It shows the sequence of decisions; it is not a recording of the app.

Example only. These controls do not connect to eBay, publish listings or use credits.

Plan the credit cost.

Copying costs 4 credits per successfully copied listing. Three listings copied to two destination accounts create six new listings: 3 × 2 × 4 = 24 credits.

Ending an original is a separate action costing 1 credit per completed end. New customers receive 50 welcome credits once. eBay fees are separate.

Check stock after copying.

Creating extra adverts does not create extra physical stock. Keep quantities and fulfilment plans accurate across accounts. Duplicate and cross-reference review tools help identify potential matches; they do not guarantee immediate prevention of a second sale.

If eBay rejects a copy, use the returned explanation to review the listing or destination policies. Avoid repeatedly submitting when you do not know whether the previous copy succeeded.

Questions about copying and transferring

Can I copy to multiple accounts in one submission?

The current commercial workflow handles one destination per submission. To use several destinations, repeat the workflow from the source account for each one.

Will copying end my original listings?

No. Originals stay live. Verify the destination copies before separately ending originals if you want to move stock off the source.

Will every listing copy successfully?

A successful copy depends on the listing and the destination account’s policies and eBay requirements. Review the results and any returned errors.
